The ALSA Scholarships

Equity Scholarships

This scholarship is designed to recognise and assist students who have a demonstrated equity circumstance affecting their ability to study law (including, but not limited to, gender, rural/regional location, extraordinary family commitments, sexuality, ethnicity, poverty, disability, or any other relevant circumstance.)

3 scholarships are available, each of $500 value.

Community Involvement Scholarships

This scholarship is designed to recognise and assist students who have demonstrated a commitment to serving and improving their local community, while studying their degree. This scholarship has an emphasis on Australian programs, as well as programs operating on a local scale and/or in regional areas.

3 scholarships are available, each of $500 value.

Criteria:

• Student enrolled in an LLB or JD program at an ALSA-affiliated university
• Demonstrated commitment to serving and improving their local community, with an emphasis on Australian programs, as well as programs operating on a local scale and/or in regional areas.

Supporting Documentation:
• Up to 500 word written application outlining their involvement in their local community
• Support letter from their community organisation.

Further documents that support the application may be requested at the discretion of the Alumni & Scholarships Officer.
